ON WEDNESDAY 20 NOVEMBER 2013 THE CZECH GOVERNMENT APPROVED THE STATE PROGRAM FOR SUPPORT OF ENERGY SAVINGS AND USE OF RENEWABLE AND SECONDARY ENERGY SOURCES 2014. THE PROGRAM AIMS TO STIMULATE INTEREST IN ENERGY SAVINGS AND USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES. THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE IS THE ONLY RESORT COMPLYING WITH THE INITIAL INTENTION OF THE GOVERNMENT AND SYSTEMATICALLY SUPPORTING ENERGY SAVINGS.

External Trade - September 2013
In September 2013, according to preliminary data of ‘cross−border statistics’, exports and imports at current prices increased by 8.3% and 7.2% respectively, year-on-year (y−o−y). The trade balance ended in a surplus of CZK 35.1 bn, which was by CZK 5.1 bn higher compared to September 2012.
Tourism - 3rd quarter of 2013
Q3 2013, the number of guests’ overnight stays in collective accommodation establishments decreased by 1.9% year-on-year. The number of nights spent by domestic visitors went down by 3.8%, however overnight stays by non-residents went up by 0.4%. The total number of arrivals increased by 1.7%; of which domestic guests by 1.9% and foreigners by 1.5% more.
Services - 3rd quarter of 2013
In the Q3 2013, seasonally adjusted sales in services decreased, quarter-on-quarter, at constant prices by 0.6%. Non-adjusted sales dropped by 0.9%, year-on-year. Working days adjusted sales dropped by 2.6%, y-o-y. Growth was reported only by transport and storage and accommodation and food service activities.
